Corporate and Foundation Relations

The University of St. Thomas Corporate and Foundation Relations team works with corporations to build mutually beneficial partnerships that further the common good, by considering a business’ mission and needs and how they intersect with the mission of St. Thomas. The team also works closely with St. Thomas faculty, deans and leadership to match institutional priorities with funding criteria for foundation support.

Corporate Relations

Many corporations focus their charitable giving on providing scholarship aid, which is the university’s greatest need. In addition, they contribute to the St. Thomas community in a variety of other ways:

  • Providing insight from leadership in industry of the needs of tomorrow
  • Hiring St. Thomas graduates
  • Promoting the Tommie Network in their organizations
  • Mentoring students in and outside of the classroom
  • Helping the university with its capital needs and new facility construction
  • Supplying state-of-the-art equipment
  • Establishing endowed faculty chairs
  • Providing corporate matching gifts of employee contributions

 Foundation Relations

St. Thomas is extremely grateful to foundations for the impact of their generous funding of St. Thomas programs and initiatives. While some foundations focus their charitable giving on providing scholarship aid, which is the university’s greatest need, our foundation partners contribute to the St. Thomas community in a variety of other ways, including:

  • Creating new and innovative academic and community-based programs
  • Partnering to support faculty and student research initiatives
  • Supplying state-of-the-art equipment
  • Establishing endowed faculty chairs
  • Sponsorship of student programs and academic conferences
