Making connections is as essential to job search success as identifying career interests. Maybe even more so given that a high percentage of jobs are obtained through networking or relationships. As students become more mobile, St. Thomas enrollment more geographically diverse, and work opportunities more remote, it’s critical that St. Thomas commit to building recruitment relationships with organizations both inside and outside of Minnesota and provide opportunities for students to make connections with them.

To help students make connections, the Career Development Center offers many opportunities for students to engage with employers, including our on campus spring and fall career fairs, employer tabling events, company visits, career readiness programs and supports, our St. Thomas Connect networking portal, and nationwide Career Treks.
