Scholarships are one of the most meaningful ways to invest in the future of St. Thomas. They open doors for talented students, remove financial barriers and make it possible for more Tommies to discover their purpose, achieve their goals and make a difference in the world. Every scholarship helps ensure that a student’s potential—not their financial circumstances—determines what’s possible.

One gift can create twice the opportunity.
During the campaign, the University of St. Thomas will match every eligible $50,000 commitment to support talented students, especially those from middle- and lower-income families.
A donor commitment of $50,000 — given outright or pledged over four years — will be matched with an additional $50,000 by the university. Together, this $100,000 scholarship investment will support one student through four years at St. Thomas.
Students supported through the match will receive at least a $25,000 scholarship each year for four years.

Contributions to the St. Thomas Scholarship Fund allow a new generation of Tommies to continue their education at the University of St. Thomas and advance the common good in their community and workplace.
No Tommie should have to put their education on hold due to unforeseen financial hardship. The Hardship Scholarship Fund provides critical, immediate support to students facing financial crises.
The cumulative value of all class-year endowments is nearly $10 million. Gifts of any size to a class year endowment will continue to grow year after year. Each year, investment earnings from endowments are awarded to students; the remainder stays invested to increase the principal.
Your gift to the Tommie Fund provides immediate and meaningful opportunities for students, from scholarships and internships to study abroad and emergency support.
