The Under-Told Stories Project is a partnership between the University of St. Thomas and PBS News that works to expand, sustain and improve coverage of some of the world's most pressing problems in broadcast, print and online.
Under-Told Stories aims to direct attention to the daily concerns of global populations dealing with the direct consequences of living in poverty. In collaboration with educators and news outlets, Under-Told Stories produces content that highlights the change agents addressing the challenges in marginalized communities — all with a goal to engage students on the pressing issues of our time.
Support for Under-Told Stories provides the critical funding needed to travel to remote locations and document important stories. Funding supports writers, producers, videographers and more as they research and report on news stories centered around education, food security, water and sanitation, global health equity and more.
