Emily Halstead
As a transplant to the Twin Cities, I am continually impressed by the amount of St. Thomas pride I experience each day and am thrilled to be part of the St. Thomas community as Assistant Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations as of December 2025.
I have been working in the nonprofit advancement space for 15 years, with roles spanning marketing, communications, and individual and institutional giving. My positions at organization including MacPhail Center for Music, Joyce Bilingual Preschool, Junior Achievement of the North, and Housing in Action have allowed me to share and support incredible missions over the years.
I have an undergraduate degree in Graphic Design from the University of Kansas and am originally from a small town in Iowa where I grew up on a multi-generation family farm. After a decade in the Twin Cities, I think I can finally call myself a Minnesotan having put down roots near the St. Thomas campus with my husband, 3 kids, and our Australian Shepherd. My free time right now is spent with family, mostly shuttling kids to and from hockey practices! I love to sink into a book, take on unnecessary home refresh projects, and, whenever possible, travel.
