Andrew Norwood works as the Senior Director of Development for the Morrison Family College of Health at the University of St. Thomas. In this role, he leads philanthropic strategy, fundraising, and campaign execution in support of healthcare education and community well-being.
Andrew brings 18 years of experience in development and fundraising across higher education and healthcare philanthropy. Prior to joining St. Thomas, he held leadership roles at Oregon State University. Notably, his efforts led to the College of Pharmacy's most successful fundraising year to date, including two of its largest historical gifts. He also launched the college's first "Giving Day" and managed three philanthropic advisory boards.
Andrew previously held fundraising roles at Arizona State University, including positions with the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law and the ASU Foundation. He also worked with the Muscular Dystrophy Association, where he led corporate sponsorship initiatives and coordinated community-focused fundraising events.
A Certified Nonprofit Professional (CNP), Andrew holds both a Bachelor of Science in Nonprofit Leadership and Management and an MBA from Arizona State University. He was drawn to St. Thomas for its commitment to moral leadership and the common good.
Outside of work, Andrew enjoys spending time with his wife Kaitlin and their dog Kallie. He enjoys golfing, hiking, playing basketball, and woodworking. Being new to the Twin Cities, he looks forward to exploring Minnesota's outdoor spaces and engaging with the local community.
