About Alexa Kanieski '24

As an alumna, I feel really fortunate to have attended St. Thomas during such an exciting time of growth. I first learned about philanthropy through my on-campus job at the Engagement Center, where I worked to connect alumni, families, and friends with the university. I loved working with this community then, so I was excited for the opportunity to continue that work in a new way.

In my role, I help build relationships within the St. Thomas community in support of the university’s mission. I spend time learning what matters most to donors and helping connect their generosity to opportunities that can make a meaningful impact. I support fundraising for the College of Arts and Sciences, with a focus on helping donors connect with the programs, departments, and student experiences that feel most meaningful to them.

In my free time, I love spending time with friends and family and finding creative outlets. I do photography on the side, which has become one of my favorite passion projects, especially couples’ photography. I also love music and learning new instruments. I play guitar and drums, and I’m about as beginner as it gets on piano.
