The Pursuit of Comprehensive Excellence

Since 1904, Tommie Athletics has built a tradition of success, shaping lives and inspiring a loyal fan base. Today, our student-athletes compete proudly in Division I, carrying forward a legacy of achievement and spirit.

Division I Transition Success

St. Thomas is the first modern NCAA program to move directly from Division III to Division I—completing the transition in just four years. Along the way, Tommies earned four conference championships, reached multiple championship rounds, and gained national visibility. Off the field, hundreds of student-athletes earned GPAs above 3.5, while donor support fueled $12M+ in funding and major projects like the Lee & Penny Anderson Arena.

Now, with full Division I membership and postseason eligibility, Tommie Athletics is building on this momentum to set the standard for the future.

Your support provides scholarships and critical resources that empower student-athletes and strengthen the St. Thomas experience.
