Priority One: Scholarships
Our strength as a top Catholic university is inextricably linked to the strength of our students. We believe that promise and potential—not ability to pay—should define a student's future. Private investments in scholarships turn that belief into reality.
Nearly 97% of undergraduate students receive scholarships or financial aid, yet 35% still face a financial gap that could keep them from becoming a Tommie. For current Tommies, this gap often forces them to
- take on excessive loans,
- opt out of living on campus with peers,
- work extraordinarily long hours, jeopardizing academic success,
- delay graduation or
- withdraw from school entirely.
Be a Difference-Maker
Your gift - at any level - can make all the difference. When you support St. Thomas scholarships, you're not just funding an education; you're igniting potential.
Make an immediate impact by contributing to our general scholarship fund or by creating a named annual scholarship.
For lasting impact, create a named endowment that will provide support to promising Tommies for years to come.
Promising Students Need Your Support

Indebted, But Not Forever In Debt
No student should have to choose between their education and financial hardship. Together we can prevent students from dropping out with debt and no degree.
Your gift provides critical support that allows new and current students to fully engage in the St. Thomas experience—to develop their talents, discover their purpose, and graduate with a degree and a future full of possibility.
Breaking Down Barriers
Scholarships Matter
We see time and time again that scholarships positively change lives, lifting students, their families and communities, and creating a multiplier effect of opportunity and impact.
“I’m most excited about the unknown – about not knowing where my career is going to go. But to know it can go somewhere. I feel extremely blessed that someone would invest in my career this way." - Layla Siferllah-Griffin '23
