The Development Office’s Corporate and Foundation Relations staff partners with corporations and foundations on behalf of the University of St. Thomas. They work with corporations to build mutually beneficial partnerships that further the common good, by considering business’ needs and how they intersect with St. Thomas’ mission.

The Corporate and Foundation Relations team also works closely with St. Thomas’ faculty, deans and leadership to match institutional priorities with funding criteria for foundation support.

The Twin Cities has a world class community of corporations and foundations, and they have been vital collaborators over the years, helping St. Thomas develop its highly regarded academic programs and facilities. These supporters range from small businesses to Fortune 500 companies, and from family foundations to regional and national foundations.

St. Thomas is grateful to the many corporations and foundations and their impact their charitable giving has had on our campus. Many corporations and foundations focus their charitable giving on providing scholarship aid, which is the university’s greatest need. In addition, they contribute to the St. Thomas community in a variety of other ways:

  • Creating new and innovative academic and community-based programs
  • Partnering to support faculty and student research initiatives
  • Helping the university with its capital needs and new facility construction
  • Supplying state-of-the-art equipment
  • Providing insight from leadership in industry of the needs of tomorrow
  • Establishing endowed faculty chairs
  • Sponsorship of student programs and academic conferences
  • Providing Corporate matching gifts of employee contributions
