Tootie comes to St. Thomas from Concordia University in St. Paul, where he has served on the development staff since 2010. In his previous role as Director of Development, Tootie managed his own portfolio of major and principal gift prospects, and, in addition, supervised Concordia’s front-line fundraisers. Tootie has a proven record of success in fundraising, regularly exceeding individual and team goals. Prior to assuming his role at Concordia, Tootie worked as a sales manager in the pharmaceutical industry, where he also excelled.
Tootie obtained his bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies and his MBA from Concordia. Originally from Florida, Tootie came to Concordia both to study and to play football. He is an entrepreneur with his own company that sells boiled and fried peanuts, a delicacy he brought to Minnesota from his childhood home. Tootie serves on the board of Redeemer Center for Life a non-profit committed to youth training, attainable housing, and workforce development in North Minneapolis. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, volunteering at church or in the community inspiring hope and change by giving of his time, talents and treasure.
