Major Gifts Officer

Tim Fischer '84

2120 Summit Avenue

I have worked in the Development Office at St. Thomas since August 1, 2006. I was coaching football for St. Thomas when I learned about the position. When I realized the job would include raising awareness of our fantastic St. Thomas athletic programs, I knew it was a perfect fit!

Through my position as a major gift officer, I strive to help potential donors by getting them involved with the university in all our critical areas. Whether it’s athletics or engineering … scholarships or the College of Arts and Sciences … time or money. I just want to make sure we get people reconnected to the university, and that their resources are directed where they are most passionate.

I earned a bachelor’s degree from the College of St. Thomas in 1984. I was involved in the All College Council, Tiger Club, President’s Student Development Council, football and track. I spent 21 years as a construction equipment salesman before returning to my alma mater. St. Thomas has woven itself through our family. My wife, Annemarie, is an MBA graduate from the grad school class of 2002. My daughter is also a proud alumna who earned her degree here in 2014! We love this place!
